This second seminar of the EU Web Accessibility Directive series will focus on reviewing and assessing the compliance of your website or mobile app. It will examine the requirement under the EU Web Accessibility Directive for every public website and mobile to have an Accessibility Statement. This Accessibility Statement requires the public body to conduct a review of its compliance with the accessibility standard and to make a statement of compliance in this regard.
This seminar will focus on practical approaches to conducting a review of a website or mobile apps compliance. It will look at strategies and resources for conducting your own review and well as using external expertise to review and improve the accessibility of your mobile app or website.
Speakers will include Dónal Rice, Senior Standards and Monitoring Officer with the National Disability Authority, Dr Donal Fitzpatrick, Senior Design Advisor, ICT with the National Disability Authority and Pat Cullen, Senior Accessibility Consultant with InterAccess.
Dr Donal Fitzpatrick is the Senior Design ICT Advisor with the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design, Standards and Monitoring. He has been Principle Investigator on nationally and internationally-funded projects in the areas of inclusion, Universal Design and accessibility.
